Filippo Silvestro is a father of two children and has always had a strong love for food, particularly from his heritage.  This love inspired him to take a leap of faith and apply for MasterChef Australia.

"I am Italian and my favourite dish to make is woodfired pizza." During his time in the MasterChef kitchen, he created a variety of delicious dishes that wowed the judges.

His most memorable dishes was his Lemon Ciambella Cake with Lemon Infused Creme Anglaise and Coconut Lemon Caramel and Pasta Con Salsa with Salsiccia Italiano.
