Amina Elshafei has a successful career as a paediatric nurse, but her love for food urged her to try something new and apply for MasterChef Australia.

"As much as I love working at the children's hospital, I'd love to work in food."

During her time in the MasterChef kitchen, she created a variety of delicious dishes that wowed the judges.

Her most memorable dishes were Tea Smoked Duck Breast with Chinese Inspired Salad and her Stuffed Middle Eastern Snapper, Onion, Rice and Tomato Salsa with Kingfish in Harissa Sauce.
