Not long out of high school, Lachie has his hands full learning the ropes at Australia’s busiest beach, working in the Bondi Lifeguards Traineeship.

With almost a year of the traineeship under his belt, this summer Lachie is out to prove to his more experienced lifeguards that he can be a trusted member of the team.

Relatively untested for most of the season, Lachy braves a massive swell to compete against the rest of the lifeguards in the annual Lifeguard Challenge with amazing results.

While his efforts on this day impress a lot of the team, the big question is, will it be enough to convince Head Lifeguard, Bruce “Hoppo” Hopkins, to promote him to a fully fledged lifeguard?
