American Danielle Collins progressed to the third round of the Australian Open on Thursday, defeating Aussie Destanee Aiava.
But it was her reactions towards the crowd that stole the headlines, with the hometown crowd backing Aiava, Collins dealt with jeers throughout the match.
When asked about her feelings towards the crowd, the World No. 11 didn't mince her words.
"I loved it ... One of the greatest things about being a professional athlete is the people that don't like you and the people that hate you. They actually pay your bills," Collins said.
"So me and my group of girlfriends we love a five star vacation. So I can guarantee you that cheque is going to go towards our next five star trip, hopefully to the Bahamas."
