10 Play, the home to the biggest soaps in the world is about to get even bigger when classic U.S. soap, General Hospital joins the line-up on New Year’s Day, 2025. 

On Wednesday, 1 January, catch up on over 50 episodes of the longest-running American soap opera in production when it arrives on 10 Play, joining a host of soaps straight from the U.S. including The Young and the Restless, Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful. 

First broadcast on April Fool’s Day in 1963, General Hospital recently celebrated its 60th anniversary and has aired over 15,000 episodes following the lives of the Corinthos, Quartermaine and Spencer families, and all the other residents of the fictional town of Port Charles, New York. The series holds the record for the most Daytime Emmy Award wins in the Outstanding Drama Series category with 17 wins to date. 

Over the years, General Hospital helped launch the careers of many stars including Demi Moore, John Stamos, Jack Wagner, Mark Hamill, Rick Springfield, Ricky Martin, Amber Tamblin, Emma Samms, Jonathan Jackson and Richard Dean Anderson.
