2021 saw the Matildas finish off the year with a match in Ireland before heading back home for a series of matches against Brazil and USA.
2022 began with the AFC Women's Asian Cup in India which saw the Matildas collect a mixed bag of results as they reached as far the Quarter Finals where they met Korea Republic.
The remainder of the year saw Tony Gustavsson's side come up against New Zealand, Spain, Portugal, Canada and South Africa before returning home to take on Sweden and Thailand.

2024
Fast forward to 2023, the Matildas hosted the Cup of Nations where they faced Czechia, Spain and Jamaica before heading to London in April to meet Scotland and England.
With the countdown for the 2023 Women's FIFA World Cup well and truly on, they faced off against France in their farewell match at Melbourne's Marvel Stadium.
After that heroic performance at the World Cup, they turned their attention the AFC Olympic Qualifiers which saw them top a group that featured Chinese Taipei, Iran and the Philippines.
2024 began with another historical chapter in Matildas history as they sealed a coveted spot at the 2024 Paris Olympics after dismantling Uzbekistan over two legs in February.
