Popstar Ariana Grande Pivots Focus To Acting

Grammy winner Ariana Grande has said she has no current plans to tour her latest album, as she is "focused on acting”.

Speaking with the Variety Awards Circuit podcast, Grande said "I have no plans for live shows at the moment, I was thinking about doing a mini-tour in between the Wicked films but that is no longer happening.”

The 31-year-old played Glinda in Wicked, which is split in two-parts, with the second half set for release in November 2025, and was nominated for a Golden Globe award for her role.

Speaking about a potential tour for her latest album, Eternal Sunshine, she said: "Even if it were going to be a mini thing... I like to do things a certain way, and it takes months and months and months and months to build the show, to rehearse the show, to make it what I would envision for my fans.

"I kind of have a specific vision for things, and sometimes that will delay them, but I love singing those songs and I really love performing and being on stage right now, I don't have a plan for that but it'll always be in my life. And I love those songs very much."

Touching on her pivot to acting, Grannde explained, "I'm really, really grateful to be focused on acting, and I feel so at home here. I hope that's okay.”

Grande put her fans at ease though, explaining that a deluxe version of Eternal Sunshine does exist.

"Okay, so she exists, she exists,” Grande said.

"There's a very special thing that I have, it is in the can, and it has to do with Eternal Sunshine, and I love it very dearly, and I'm holding on to it for when the time feels right.

“I want to let my children miss me for two seconds”, she said of her adoring fans.

"But I have something I really love that I've been working on, that I have made”.

Grande added: "I know that I would like to have this chapter be focused on acting. I would like to stay right here, and I would love to do more films."
