Surfers Are Making The Most Of Cyclone Alfred’s Massive Waves

Champion surfer Mick Fanning revealed the stitches in his head after taking on the massive waves generated by the oncoming Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

Along with hundreds of others, Mick Fanning hit the waves over the weekend to benefit from the effects of Cyclone Alfred.

The surfing legend had to get stitches in his forehead after riding the “tubes”.

Fanning says he is “good to go again” in a post to his Instagram story.

Waves in the region are currently being reported around 6-8 ft, with Swellnet predicting that they’ll reach 15-18 ft as the Cyclone continues to approach the coast.
