Fisher, who is also the author of fictional children’s books about a superhero who jumps rope called Rope Warrior, responded to the emergency when his son alerted him to the situation.
Their neighbour’s dog had chased geese across a frozen pond, and the owner, an 18-year-old man, had tried to retrieve the dog when they both fell in.
“I slung the rope to him, and he grabbed one handle, and bit by bit, we pulled him out of the ice pond,” Fisher told Indiana TV news station WRTV.
Fisher has allegedly performed jump rope for President Bush and President Clinton.
And while his website doesn’t specify which Bush, you just know it’s Junior.
Fisher is also the recipient of three world records, and now, thanks to his heroic efforts, Westfield’s city council has awarded him and his son an award for their quick thinking and bravery.
