Adrien Brody and Guy Pearce are both nominated for Oscars in this film, which follows visionary architect László Toth and his wife as they flee post-war Europe in search of the American dream.

But clocking in at three and a half hours, this movie isn’t for anyone in a hurry or with a tiny bladder, so it comes with an intermission.
