The Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages Victoria is set to unveil the top 100 popular baby names of the past year, The Herald Sun reports.
Victorians registered 79,239 births in 2024, with Isla taking topping the list of the most popular baby names for girls.
Isla kicked Amelia off from the top spot after 389 girls were given the name.
Amelia dropped down to third place with 380, while 382 babies were named Charlotte.
Mia came in fourth place (327), while Hazel came in fifth (316).
A total of 309 babies were named Olivia, while iconic Aussie name Matilda came in seventh place with 279 babies.
Grace (268), Ella (264) and Lily (259) rounded out the top 10.
Oliver is a strong contender for breaking the all-time record after it clocked its 11th year in the top spot after 570 babies were given the name.
John was the most popular name for 23 years between 1929 and 1951.
Noah (462) came in second place, while Henry (359) took third place.
A total of 348 babies were named Leo and Theodore, with 346 babies named Luca.
Charlie (341), Jack (334), Archie (292) and Levi (289) rounded out the top 10.
