Hygiene Expert Reveals Many Of Us Are Washing Our Armpits Wrong

A hygiene expert, appropriately known as 'Madame Sweat', has revealed that when it comes to washing our armpits, many of us just aren't doing it right.

In a video shared to almost 1 million TikTok followers, Madame Sweat explained that if you can smell your underarms 2 hours after showering, you're doing it wrong.

She explains that simply washing your underarms with some fruity soap isn't going to cut it, and that you need to use soap with active ingredients to target odour.

Madame Sweat shared the ingredients that a "good antibacterial soap" should contain, including apple cider vinegar, salt, and charcoal.

But it's not just the ingredients you use when it comes to keeping odour at bay, but how you use them.

Madame Sweat suggests you lather your pits for 20 seconds on each side, as well as your, as the expert calls them, "other smelly parts".

So there you have it, your guide to fresher pits courtesy of the internet's favourite hygiene expert!
