After a captivating gender reveals rained down pink, this American family discovered their third child would be a little girl. For the soon-to-be third-time mother and her two daughters, this was welcome news, but her husband's reaction was a whole lot uglier.
The father has been slammed online after a TikTok video showed him storming off and regurgitating a couple of F-bombs as pink confetti revealed he would be fathering a third daughter. Clearly unhappy to not be having a son, the man immediately groans, acting more like the youngest child of the family rather than the father he actually is.

The TikTok video went viral and has been watched over 43.5 million times (karma), with viewers retaliating in disappointment and alarm. One viewer said, 'It communicates to me that the world is lucky this Dad is not going be raising a boy who will end up like him.' Burn! While another viewer asked: 'serious question about these types of videos — what do you think it's communicating to the other little girls when their dad reacts like this?'.
As an optimist, I can choose to believe this father was angry only because he had hoped the gender pay gap would have closed by the time he brought another daughter into the world. OR that he saw a bus drive off in the distance without picking up the elderly person from the bus stop. However, something tells me it may just be a little slice of sexism, and the annoyed man just wanted a son.

Whatever the case may be, the controversial video has taught us all not only a lesson in toxic masculinity or oversharing online, but maybe that gender reveals are out of date and ridiculous.
