Australian Grand Prix Kicks Off With Formula 1 Fan Frenzy

The first day of the Australian Grand Prix has kicked off in Melbourne today, with fans racing in to get pole position on the Melbourne Walk for the meet and greet with F1 drivers.

Sunday’s race will be the first time that all 20 drivers from 10 teams will compete against each other for the 2025 season.

Returning for another year of expert track-side analysis, 16-year-old Sam Wyatt, dubbed the world's youngest F1 expert, was in the thick of the action.

Wyatt spoke to us about his expectations for Australia’s own Piastri for the 2025 Australian Grand Prix saying “He's very quick, we know that McLaren are quick.”

“It's hard to tell because it's the first race of the season.”

“I'd expect Piastri up there, a podium would be nice… maybe a win”
