The 44-year-old actress revealed that although she loves Christmas-themed movies, she does not like watching her own hits.

Deschanel told Us Weekly that she doesn’t watch anything with her in it because she feels like that might be a bit “narcissistic.”

Although she doesn’t watch the film ‘Elf’, she has fond memories of doing the film with her co-star Will Ferrell, who played Buddy the elf.

“I love him. He’s a great, great person. One of the best,” she said.

“Seriously, one of the nicest people ever. He’s done incredible things since then.”

She added that she feels “lucky that I got to do that movie.”

The ‘New Girl’ star added that she prefers Christmas music over festive films.

“I love singing Christmas carols. That’s my favourite thing.”
