Victorian Government To Give Away 140,000 $200 Travel Vouchers To Boost State Tourism

Are you looking to have a getaway in Victoria this Autumn? Well, the Victorian government is giving $200 vouchers on eligible $400 state holidays to 140,000 families.

For most of the last two years, Victorians have been asked to stay put at home and have missed out on travelling across the beautiful state.

It led to the tourism sector experiencing a tough two years, and the Victorian government's $200 travel incentive is designed to help both businesses and travellers alike.

This is not the first time the Victorian government have launched monetary incentives to encourage travellers to vacation at home. As with previous offerings, they are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

So how can you snap some of the $30 million opportunities up?

Travel dates must be between April 8th - May 27th. You must spend $400 during a two-night stay on tourism and travel expenses such as accommodation, tours, experiences and transport. Think wineries, hot air balloon rides, glamping, tiny house stays and more.

However, if a two-night stay isn't on the cards for you, the package is part of broader spending to revitalise the state.

So if you're staying put, you can still enjoy the 'Midweek Melbourne Money' program, which offers a rebate on dining across the city.

The tourism vouchers become available on Wednesday, March 23, via the Victorian government website here. You can also find the full t's & c's for eligibility on their website.
