While not directly referencing the U.S. Presidential election, the official Sesame Street X account and a number of favourite characters all posted calming messages on the eve of the election.
“Stop scrolling, take a deep breath, and use the next few minutes to escape to a place where the air is sweet,” the Sesame Street account posted.
Snuffleupagus also had some advice for anyone stressed, saying “Whenever I feel overwhelmed, my Mommy tells me to go outside, take a deep breath, and enjoy a moment in nature”.
Bert and Ernie also had some tips, with Bert saying “If you are ever stressed, remember that your friends are here to comfort you”.
“We will be there to make you smile too!” Ernie added.
Cookie Monster reminded everyone “It's okay to take a break today—it even better if it includes cookies”.
And Elmo reminded everyone that “Elmo loves you”!
