Sam Kerr Scores Incredible Double Leading Chelsea To A Third Title In A Row

Aussie superstar, Sam Kerr, has shown again why she was crowned the Football Writers’ player of the year, as she scored two stunning goals bringing Chelsea to their third consecutive Women's Super League title.

Matildas’ captain and forward player for Chelsea, Sam Kerr, delivered an incredible double goal score for Chelsea  as they beat Manchester United 4-2..

Kerr’s first goal of the game, which levelled the score with Manchester United at 2-2 50 seconds after the break, was a left-footed volley lashed into the top corner.

However, her second goal was even more special, controlled with her chest before she turned and looped a volley over the United goalkeeper, Mary Earps.

“The second one was world-class, it was outrageous, audacious,” Chelsea manager, Emma Hayes said.

“She’s the best for a reason and she stepped up once again for this football club. I said: ‘Come to Chelsea and you’ll win trophies,’

“We told her if she came to play for Chelsea she would win trophies and I can sit here confident that we both made the right decision and we’re both made for Chelsea. We both love days like today.”

Kerr had told Chelsea teammate Erin Cuthbert: “I’m going to score a worldie tomorrow” in the lead-up to the game and while she was right, she actually fired two home.

Kerr can be seen jubilant with the win, celebrating after the game so much so that she momentarily forgot her medal!
