The 25-year-old pop star mentioned the link to the federal corruption probe on Mayor Adams during her show at Madison Square Garden.
“Damn, what now? Should we talk about how I got the mayor indicted?” Carpenter said.

The comment comes days after Adams pleaded not guilty to conspiracy, wire fraud and bribery charges in a Manhattan federal court.
Carpenter received heated backlash after she filmed a sultry music video for her song “Feather” in a Brooklyn Church.
Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church had permitted Carpenter to film in the church.
Gigantiello was demoted after it was revealed he had given permission for the music video to be filmed there, which showed her in a little black dress on the alter of the 160-year-old Catholic church next to a coffin with the words “RIP Bitch” written on it.
The federal probe recently issued a subpoena to that church for information about any dealings between Gigantiello and Adam’s ex-chief of staff, Frank Carone.
Brooklyn diocese official released a statement linking the federal probe to Carpenter’s music video.
“It would be inappropriate to comment further on that review, which is still ongoing,” diocese officials said in a statement.
“The Diocese is fully committed to cooperating with law enforcement in all investigations, including conduct at individual parishes or involving any priest.”
