Reboot Of ‘Friday Night Lights’ Reportedly In The Works

A return to the world of high school football may happen, with a reboot of ‘Friday Night Lights’ reportedly in the works.

According to Deadline, showrunner Jason Katims, as well as Pete Berg and Brian Grazer, have rejoined forces to reboot the hit drama with Universal Television.

Based on a book by H.G. Bissinger, the show premiered in 2006 and lasted for five seasons, following the high school football team of the fictional town of Dillon in rural West Texas.

The reboot, which will either be a new series or a movie, will reportedly follow a new generation of students at the school, although no details have been confirmed.
