McDonald’s Releases Squid Game Meal For A Challenging Experience

McDonald’s has announced that its latest limited edition offering also comes with a side of challenging intrigue!

The fast food giant has teamed up with Netflix to release an Australian-exclusive Squid Game meal to celebrate the latest season of the hit show.

The Squid Game meal comes with 10 Chicken Nuggets, fried, a drink and limited edition Korean BBQ sauce, as well as a Dalgona Candy.

The Dalgona Candy features in one of the challenges of the show, with contestants having to cut an image out of the biscuit without breaking - or facing the ultimate consequence.

For those skilled enough to cut out the image correctly - which can be one of four: the famous Golden Arches, a circle, a triangle or a star - correctly, they can go in the running to win an exclusive McDonald’s and Squid Game green tracksuit and go in the draw to win $100,000.

"You've seen Squid Game on Netflix. Now experience it at Macca's as we bring the game to life for our customers and fans alike across our restaurants,” said Amanda Nakad, Marketing Director for McDonald's Australia.

"Whether you're a Macca's collector, are planning to binge-watch Squid Game, or simply want to enjoy this unique candy, now is your chance to get in on this exclusive collaboration. So, the only question is… are you ready to play?"

The meal will be available from Wednesday, December 11, until Tuesday, January 7, or while stocks last.
