Customers shared the blunder to social media, posting photos and videos of their dolls and the URL listed on the doll boxes, which leads to a pornographic website rather than the official movie webpage, WickedMovie.com.
LMAO Universal pictures put the wrong website for @wickedmovie on the back of their dolls for kids. It leads to a porn website 😂😂😂😂😂 #Wicked pic.twitter.com/agD48yHltV

Although much of the Wicked merchandise, such as Lego sets, has the correct site, the Mattel Glinda and Elphaba dolls list a pornographic site on the back of the box.
Mattel apologised for the error in a statement to People magazine:
"Mattel was made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel Wicked collection dolls, primarily sold in the U.S., which intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page. We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this."
"Parents are advised that the misprinted, incorrect website is not appropriate for children. Consumers who already have the product are advised to discard the product packaging or obscure the link and may contact Mattel Customer Service for further information."
