Influencer's Extreme Morning Routine Slammed For Being 'Unrealistic'

Fitness influencer Ashton Hall has been slammed for his extreme morning routine that starts before 4 am and entails dunking his face in ice multiple times, working out and rubbing banana on his face.

We all have that one mate who posts their '5-9 before my '9-5' videos of their hectic morning schedules before they even start getting ready for work, but one influencer has taken it to the next level with his morning routine.

Ashton Hall has posted multiple videos of his morning routines, which start at about 4 am, and multiple of them have garnered tens of millions of views.

But one in particular has more than 158 million views on Instagram alone, and people had a lot to say about this routine.

Ashton starts off by removing his mouth tape. The mouth-taping trend has kicked off in recent times, with many believing it to improve sleep apnea and reduce snoring.

However, the trend lacks scientific support and can pose risks to one's health, including breathing impairment and a reduction in oxygen levels.

The adhesive in the tape can also cause allergic reactions in some people.

Ashton continues his routine by brushing his teeth before drinking bottled water and then moving on to his early morning workout. At this stage, it is about 4:20 am.

After this, Ashton starts journaling for several minutes, followed by watching a motivational video and then dunking his head in a bowl of iced bottled water.

At 6 am, he dresses in gym wear and then heads to the gym, where he starts on the treadmill.

This workout lasts until 7:30 am, before he heads to the pool, swimming for about 10 minutes before dipping into a plunge pool.

At 8:20 am, he is back home, showers, and then eats a banana before wiping the skin on his face.

At 9 am, he dunks his face in ice water again and then sets up his laptop before it seems like someone makes him smashed avocado, scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast at about 9:25 am.

This five-hour routine was met with extensive criticism, with many viewers remarking that it was not "real life."

"I'm not saying this doesn't take discipline. I am a lot more impressed by the dad of 2+ kids, who meal preps on Sunday and gets to the gym 5-6 days a week while working a full-time job," one critic wrote, adding, "What you showed me here is a dude with no responsibilities rubbing a banana peel on his face."

"Out of all of that, I'm still stuck on the fact he was rubbing a banana on his face," another wrote.

"Imagine waking up at 3:45 am but literally getting nothing done by 9 am apart from exercise and eating," an X user noted.
