How You Can Help Quinn’s Make-A-Wish Dream Come True

Six-year-old Quinn is a fighter.

Two years ago, mum Sheridan Wiatkowski noticed Quinn had a rash on her neck.

Blood tests revealed the worst. It was cancer.

For the first year of her treatment, the Wiatkowski family had to relocate to Sydney from their home in Dubbo.

The type of Leukaemia Quinn was diagnosed with has a high risk of relapse, so she was given strong doses of chemotherapy and steroids.

Because of her life-limiting illness, Quinn is eligible for a wish to be granted through the Make-A-Wish.

Her wish is to “fly with a unicorn that has pink sparkly wings”.

Dr Margaret Little has seen first-hand the impact make-a-wish can have on the well-being of her patients.

“It changes their attitude to their disease, also to their treatments and how well they cope with it,” she said.

After receiving her last treatment in April, Quinn’s cancer is now in remission. To help Quinn’s wish come true, The Cheesecake Shop will be selling unicorn-themed cupcakes for the month of October, with $1 from each cupcake going to the Make-A-Wish

Quinn’s wish is set to come true at the end of November, but in the meantime, she’s been receiving voice messages from the Queen of Unicorns.
