Speaking to Good Morning America on the NAACP Image Awards red carpet, writer and star of the original movie Marlon Wayans mentioned his desire to create a White Chicks 2.

One-half of the brotherly duo claims that fans are always asking, “When are you doing the sequel?”.

Despite the original film’s controversial plot line and jokes, Marlon firmly believes that bringing back the White Chicks world in 2025 is possible.

In 2019, Marlon told People, “A good joke is when you can make the people you're parodying laugh. Who loves White Chicks the most? White chicks. In this environment, in this climate, we all need something to laugh at about ourselves.”

The Wayans brothers have recently returned to the Scary Movie franchise after writing the first and second films in the early 2000s.

With Scary Movie 6 now in production and the Wayans brothers back on the payroll - the movie’s hopeful success could be the perfect instigator to get more studio interest in Wayans’ work, including White Chicks 2.

Marlon Wayans said this weekend, “I think it's time. Let's get Scary Movie 6 done, and then we'll go and bring out White Chicks 2."

While the update is promising, we are still awaiting an official confirmation of the sequel's going into production.
