Trump Open To U.S. Joining The Commonwealth

Donald Trump has indicated he is open to the United States joining the Commonwealth, sharing his love of King Charles in a social media post.

The US president took to Truth Social to share a news story from The Sun reporting that the King will supposedly make a “secret offer” to Trump during his visit to the UK.

The report claims there are plans for the King to offer to include the United States as an ‘associate member’ of the Commonwealth in a bid to reduce tensions between the U.S. and Canada.

“I Love King Charles. Sounds good to me!” Trump wrote in response to the report.

The British Commonwealth, established in 1926, is made up of 56 nations, including many of the United Kingdom’s former colonies.

President Trump has spoken highly of King Charles in the past, telling British Prime Minister Keir Starmer the monarch is a “beautiful man”.
