The Greatest Showman Theatre Show To Open For The First Time In 2026

The Greatest Showman musical stage show is set to debut in Bristol, UK, in March 2026, with plans to eventually graduate to the West End and Broadway.

The 2017 movie musical starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya saw tremendous success, as it rose to the number one spot at the box office after initially suffering negative critic reviews.

Its soundtrack spent 28 non-consecutive weeks at number one on the UK albums chart, making it the longest-running album at number one in 50 years.

The film took 9 years to complete, as it was a staggering four years before the song-writing duo Pasek and Paul were brought onto the project.

In the end, it was their insight which helped bring the project off the ground as the popular anthem ‘This Is Me’ was pivotal in the green-light process.

Following the popularity of the uplifting film, The Greatest Showman will be transferred to the stage for another surge of musical imagination and wonder.

Pasek and Paul have returned to the world of P.T. Barnum, creating five brand new tracks to accompany the original soundtrack in the new stage show.

The musical will begin its run at the Hippodrome in Bristol before moving to the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London’s West End.
