Danny and Elouise Massa broke our hearts last month when we spoke to them about their two-year-old son Joe’s untimely death.
“I didn’t get to cherish the last moments with Joe because I was too busy trying to find adequate care… as a mother, you have to do everything, you have to fight to the last second as Joe is dying in the bed; unaccompanied, not on a drip, left there to cruelly die,” Elouise said.
Now, after months of campaigning, the Massas have had a win.
Today, the NSW Government introduced “Joe’s Law,” which will ensure public hospitals like the one Joe was treated in cannot privatise their emergency, surgical, or inpatient services.
