All of them involved children aged between 10 and 15 years who were approached by men in white vans while walking to or from school.
Police are unsure whether the attempted abductions are linked, and investigations are continuing.
10 News First’s Georgia Simpson said police have said the suspects have tried a friendly approach to try and coax these children into their van.
“Things like ‘your mum gave me a call and asked me to pick you up from school’ so police are asking parents to make sure they educate their kids about stranger danger and do not get into cars with people they do not know, and if it happens to just run away to an area that is crowded and tell the nearest adult,” Simpson said.
Simpson said police say the children have given different descriptions of white vans and the suspects involved, but have taken into account the age of the children and are not as accurate as adults.
“But because they have all been different in nature and descriptions that is the reason they do treat them as separate incidents,’ she said.
