The FIA has issued revised “misconduct” guidelines, which state that drivers face a $66,896 fine for a first offence and $133,791 and $200,687 for second and third infringements in a two-year period.
Australian driver Oscar Piastri has shared that “the fines are quite harsh” considering they are “full of adrenaline.”
Piastri says, “We are first and foremost speaking to our team.”
The new guidelines will be enforced for the first time at the Melbourne Grand Prix from March 13-16.
