A survey conducted by Terry’s Fabrics asked participants to vote for the most “uncool” home decor.
Colourful bathroom suites, decorated with colours like salmon, brown or avocado, were voted the worst interior design choice you could make, garnering 44 per cent of the vote.
Leopard print rugs came second with 34 per cent of the vote, while having plastic flowers or plants coming in third with 32 per cent.
A ‘Live, Laugh, Love’ sign got 31 per cent of the votes, while 29 per cent said artex ceilings are daggy.
Welcome mats, bohemian artefacts, floral patterned rugs, and ‘Beware of dog’ signs also made the list of cringe home decorations.
Non-white bathrooms decorated with colours like salmon, brown or avocado were also voted the worst, garnering 44 per cent of the vote.
The survey also found that 62 per cent of people are guilty of judging the interiors of other people’s homes, while 50 per cent said they have based an opinion of someone based on their interior design choices.
However, 89 per cent of participants said that they believe all interior design trends cycle in and out of fashion over the years.
