First Look At Cillian Murphy As Thomas Shelby In Peaky Blinders Movie

Fans have been given their first look at Cillian Murphy as he returns to his character, Thomas Shelby, in the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie.

“By order of the Peaky Blinders... Tommy Shelby is back,” Netflix posted on social media.

“Cillian Murphy and Steven Knight are reunited on set as production officially starts on the upcoming Netflix film.”

The streaming giant confirmed the film in a post on X earlier this year. Irish actor Murphy, who won an Oscar for his role in ‘Oppenheimer’, will co-produce the film.

“This is one for the fans,” Murphy said.

"It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn't finished with me," he commented.

"It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders."

Barry Keoghan will be joining the cast, although details of his role have not yet been released.

The movie will follow the notorious Shelby family into the Second World War.

The original BBC series ran from 2013 to 2022, and was set in post-World War I Birmingham.
