Chris Pine Unsure If He Will Return For Princess Diaries 3

Chris Pine is unsure if he will return to Genovia for The Princess Diaries 3, saying he knows nothing about the just-announced film.

"I don't know anything," Pine said on the Today show, adding, "Call Disney. Call Bob Iger. I don't know anything about it."

Shocked hosts Hoda Kobt and Jenna Bush Hager pushed the star further, Kotb asking, "You don't know anything? You are The Princess Diaries."

"I think it's fantastic," Pine said.

The Star Trek star made his feature film debut starring opposite Anne Hathaway in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.

Pine starred as Nicholas Deveraux, the love interest of Hathaway's Princess Mia Thermopolis. The 2004 film ended with the pair coupled up and Julie Andrews' Queen Clarisse Renaldi marrying her bodyguard, Joe, played by Hector Elizondo.

Hathaway confirmed she would reprise her role on social media, writing, "The fairytale continues."

The film will be directed by Crazy Rich Asians and Joy Ride filmmaker Adele Lim, with producer Debra Martin Chase.
