Hayden Quinn is a Sydney-born professional lifeguard who has an old-school passion for food, travel and surfing. His food dream drove him to apply for MasterChef Australia season 3 where he refined his cooking skills and food knowledge.

“I’m a professional lifeguard. Being a lifeguard involves a lot of time on the beach, mainly looking after people's safety. On the beach, we get quite a few days where it's slow and on those days it’s a lot about food."

"Cooking for me started off at a pretty young age with mum, she's really been my inspiration for cooking and shes taught me everything I know. Seeing someone enjoy what I've created and cooked for them is the best feeling in the world.”

Hayden made a number of impressive dishes, such as his famous Braised Pork Belly which the judges absolutely adored and shows off his cooking style perfectly.
