Slipping back into the cut and thrust of the MasterChef Australia competition will be muscle memory for Callum Hann, who hopes that this is his time to lay claim to the prestigious title.

Having last graced the kitchen in 2020’s Back To Win season, Callum has since opened two new restaurants in the heart of Adelaide, Olive and Roma.

An accomplished businessman and passionate advocate for food education and sustainability, Callum’s long-running cooking school, Sprout, has also grown in recent years, adding more classes to its purpose-built teaching space. With three cookbooks to his name, Callum is kept busy with cooking demonstrations and appearances, as well as regular television and radio duties.

Callum admits that despite his vast experience in the MasterChef Australia kitchen, there will definitely be nerves. The way he sees it, it means he cares. With a healthy appreciation of the pressure of cooking against the clock, Callum’s strategy will see him fast out of the gates in any challenge, allowing himself time to review and edit.

Callum looks forward to being fully ‘in the moment’ as he dives back into competitive cooking. To be in an environment to absorb so much information is a rare privilege, and one he is incredibly grateful for. Expect him to leave nothing in the tank any time he steps up to cook.

With his love of food first stemming from caring for his family as a young man after the passing of his father, Callum is now delighted that he gets to share the joy of cooking with his own children, Elle, 5 and Henry, 2 whom he shares with wife Crystal.

Thoughtful, fun and focussed, Callum is Back To Win and poised to give it his all to lift the coveted trophy as 2025’s MasterChef Australia champ.
