Peter Daicos

Peter Daicos

AFL Hall Of Famer AFL legend Peter Daicos is one of the Collingwood Football clubs most loved and decorated champions, who played his entire 250-game career with the club.

His silky and sublime skills had him referred to as the "Magician", and the "Macedonian Marvel" in reference to his parent’s heritage.

His outstanding 549-goal, 15-year career earned him entry into the Australian Football Hall Of Fame in 1999. His honours include the 1990 AFL Premiership with Collingwood, and the 1991 Goal of the Year.

In 2005, one of his famous goals from the 1990 finals was featured in a Toyota "Memorable Moments" commercial. Commentators often refer to modern day goals being "Daicos like" as he pioneered highly calculated kicking of a goal that all but seemed impossible.

Since retirement, Peter has been a highly sought-after speaker at business and sporting events and is the father of current Collingwood star premiership players Josh and Nick.

In 2024, Peter is a weekly contributor on Seven's Sunrise Program and will do, as his time permits, occasional commentary on Radio 3AW for their live AFL broadcasts.
