Denise Drysdale is an Australian entertainment icon and has been entertaining audiences for over five decades. She made her first TV appearance at the age of 10 on The Tarax Show as a ballet dancer. She was later sacked when she gained weight and developed breasts.

Most recently Denise was a semi-regular co-host on Studio 10 from the very first episode until the series finale. Her past television credits include co-host of Hey Hey Its Saturday, The Circle, Young Talent Time, Spicks and Specks, The Norman Gunston Show, Countdown, Celebrity Squares, Division Four, The Ernie Sigley Show, In Melbourne Tonight, and her own daily talk show, Denise and Beauty and The Beast.

As an actress, Denise has appeared in Please Like Me, Neighbours and in a number of movies, including The Last of the Knucklemen, Snap Shot and Blowing Hot and Cold. Denise has also starred on stage in Saturday Night Fever, Salad Days, Grease, Two Gentlemen of Verona and Hello Dolly.

In 2018 Denise joined her best friend Jessica Rowe AM to co-host a comedy Podcast series, One Fat Lady and One Thin Lady. The popular podcast series debuted at #1 on Apple Podcasts.

Originally from Victoria, Denise was employed as Melbourne’s first television go-go dancer on Kommotion at the age of just 16. Her popularity led to the Australian Government inviting her to perform for troops in Vietnam in 1967. Denise is still actively involved with the Vietnam Veterans Association.

In 1974, Denise became Ernie Sigley’s barrel girl on The Ernie Sigley Show, where she was affectionately named Ding Dong. Denise and Ernie released 'Hey Paula' as a single together. It reached number two on the Australian charts.

In 1975 and 1976 Denise won the TV Week Gold Logie Award for the Most Popular Female Personality on Australian television. She also won the TV Week Silver Logie Award for Most Popular Female Personality in both of those years.
