This mum of two may appear like an easy target to her competitors, but Pia is hiding a secret weapon: she’s a Survivor Superfan and knows how this game gets played.Champion

Lauded by superfans as the greatest player in Australian Survivor history, WA’s Luke Toki is heading back to the jungle and he’s coming to claim his crown. Having made a massive splash in season two, Luke is a lovable prankster, infamous for spying, lying and wearing the clothes of his departed victims around camp. Returning to the game a little older and wiser, this tough talking mining technician hides a huge heart beneath his hard exterior and is playing this game so his young family can have a bright future.Champion

Olympic gold medalist and former senator Nova Peris OAM has more accolades than you can poke a stick at. Not only is she a Gold Medal-winner in women’s hockey, but she also made it to the finals in a different Olympics as a sprinter! Did we also mention that in 1997 she was awarded Young Australian of The Year, and she has also received a medal for the Order of Australia, making her Nova Peris OAM? She also became the first Indigenous woman to be elected to the Commonwealth Parliament for the senate in the Northern Territory. If Andrew looks familiar, it’s because he’s one of the best NRL players of our time and you’ve probably seen at least one of his 328 games with the Cronulla Sharks. With the status “Legend of the Game”, Andrew is now living in Sydney’s Shire as a father of four and he spends most of his time out on the water for his fishing TV series, Escape Fishing with ET, which airs on Network 10. Big Wave Surfer, 53
Ross, aka Mad Dog is a legend in the water, iconic for catching waves over 80 feet high. At the 1986 Billabong Pro, he gained his title as a big wave surfer and spent 12 years on the ASP World Tour. In 2016, he took second place at the elite big wave competition known as The Eddie and now, he’s catching his wave to Survivor with the intent to knockout anyone in his way.Champion
Olympic Gold Medalist, 45
Not many people have a phrase named after them in the Australian National Dictionary, but ‘Doing a Bradbury’ has become part of the country’s vernacular. Steven is a former short track speed skater and four-time Olympian. He’s most famous for his Gold Medal win at the 2002 Winter Olympics after his four opponents all collided, leaving him to skate to victory. This win made Steven something of a folk hero and the story of the underdog who never gave up.

Australian long-distance swimmer and powerhouse, Susie Maroney has the strength, mentality and endurance required for a game like Survivor. Growing up with asthma, Susie began swimming to build up her lung capacity which led to the start of Susie’s successful career. Most famous for her 1999 swim from Mexico to Cuba, Susie completed the 200km swim in 38 hours, a feat no one has done since.Champion
AFLW Premiership Winner, 28
One of the biggest stars in Women’s AFL, Abbey has become a key figure in the AFLW following a huge season with the Adelaide Crows. The first woman to kick 100 goals in a season as a star forward and midfielder, Abbey is now a part of the Richmond Football Club and works as a football broadcaster. Starting out in the game with no female role models to look up to, Abbey understands the importance she and her teammates play in the eyes of young girls playing Aussie Rules and is passionate about raising them up.Champion
Memory Champion, 42
A memory athlete and two-time Australian Memory Champion, Anastasia is not someone who will be going under the radar. Leaving home at 15 to join the Australian Ballet School, Anastasia performed around the world in places like Norway, Sweden and USA which she also thinks will be an advantage in the game as it uses the same skills she needed as a ballerina both physically and mentally. Before getting into memory training, Anastasia got a finance degree and worked as a fixed income broker but her love for memory skills overtook and she started training to build her skills.Champion
International Model, 39
One of the world’s top male models, David has been a long-term Survivor fan but it was his friend and season two player, Sarah Tilleke, who helped convince him to give it a go. Starting his career in modelling following a $50 bet back in 2002, David saw an ad for a modelling TV series and decided to apply and ended up winning. Since then he’s appeared in magazines like Vogue and Vanity Fair, photographed by the world’s most famous photographers and has also been the face of Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren and Mont Blanc.Contender
Travel Agent, 24
Daisy is a classic Aussie country woman. Raised in outback Western Queensland on her parents’ cattle station in a town of just 500 people, she was sent to boarding school as a child. Moving away from her family and into a world of new people and learning to adapt is one reason Daisy thinks she’s got what it takes to win Survivor. Daisy loves rugby, having a beer with mates and is currently working as a travel agent in Brisbane. She moved to Canada on her own and believes she’s a Contender through and through.Contender
Gold Miner, 28
Looking like he’s fresh off the set of a VB commercial, John is the ultimate Aussie larrakin. An underground gold miner from WA, John is cheeky, tough, determined and a bloke who just wants to have a good time. Hoping these characteristics will help him in the game, John is not a superfan of the show but he still thinks he’s got what it takes.Contender
Highschool Teacher/Pro Wrestler, 29
A humble history teacher by day and a hard talking, arrogant, pro wrestler by night, Matty has the wits and attitude to tackle Survivor. You don’t want to get on Matty’s bad side because he’s strategic and tough, but thanks to his teaching history he also has a soft side and knows how to look after people and make them feel comfortable.Contender
Cleaner, 45
Cleaner from SA and real-life survivor, Sarah persisted through the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami while in Sri Lanka. Not knowing what was happening until it was too late, Sarah jumped off a balcony and was dragged 800 metres before she was eventually grabbed and pulled onto a roof. Now a mother of two, Sarah has taken the hard times and turned them around with the hope to inspire people to live their lives to the fullest and what better way to do that, than on Survivor.Contender
Retired AFL Player
Retired AFL player Shaun Hampson is set to face his biggest challenge yet, as he steps up and joins the Contenders tribe on the fourth season of Australian Survivor: Champions V Contenders. With an AFL career spanning over 12 years with Carlton and Richmond Football Clubs, Shaun is physically and mentally ready to outwit, outplay and outlast his competitors. Two games short of 100, Shaun was devastated to watch from the sideline as his team took out the 2017 premiership. But all his training and career goals have instilled in him the drive to take on Survivor. Shaun said: “I love this show and this is my chance. It’s the perfect mix of physical, mental and strategic social elements.” With his good sportsmanship and a love of teamwork, Shaun wants to play the game with integrity but as a fan of the show, he knows exactly what it takes to be Sole Survivor. Shaun said: “In real life, my relationships and my word are incredibly important to me but this a game of deception. If you aren’t prepared to lie or be lied to, you shouldn’t be here”. Shaun currently lives in Melbourne with his fiancée, Megan Gale and their two children. VIP Gaming Manager, 30
A former flight attendant on private jets and now a VIP Gaming Manager for the country’s biggest casinos, Sam is responsible for the biggest players and making sure they are looked after. So if there’s anything Sam knows, it’s how to socialise and win people over. No stranger to TV, Sam came second in The Amazing Race but it’s Survivor that’s top of her bucket list. Hoping to follow in the footsteps of two of her favourite players, Sarah from season two and Shonee from last year’s Australian Survivor: Champions V Contenders, Sam hopes other players will underestimate her.Contender
Digital Marketing Executive, 31
Small in stature but not in personality, Laura may only be four foot nine inches but she won’t go unnoticed. Describing herself as “a Chihuahua that thinks she’s a Rottweiler,” Laura has been underestimated a lot in her life and is ready to take on Survivor to prove she’s got what it takes. Not a fan of creepy crawlies or the dark, Laura isn’t going to let her fears stand in her way of becoming Sole Survivor.Contender

Harry is an ice cream making Dietitian who has dreamed of taking out the title of Sole Survivor for over 15 years. As a kid, Harry and his friends would make up their own version of Survivor, building challenges and putting their strengths to the test which inspired him to apply for the real deal. Cheeky and fun, Harry is planning to actively undermine his opponents and play a loveable villain.Contender
Police Officer, 27
Hannah is the first to admit her fellow contestants will put her in the “dumb blonde” category, which is exactly how she plans to outwit them all. Going into her tribe pretending to be a hairdresser, Hannah is planning to fly under the radar for as long possible. As a police officer, Hannah is used to being out of her comfort zone, pushed to her limits and is physically ready to face any of the challenges head on.Contender

Self-described “creative, courageous, stubborn, spontaneous and a dreamer,” Casey is a traveller and educator who loves to push herself to the limits. For the past two years, Casey has been travelling around to remote communities across Australia, educating kids about creative writing. Finding discomfort when things are too comfortable, Casey sees Survivor as the ultimate challenge.Contender

Highly intelligent and a little bit awkward, Baden lives and breathes science while studying his PhD in physics. While that’s not usually one of the strongest skill sets needed on Survivor, he’s hoping that he can find a middle ground to bond with people. At first glance, Baden expects that his fellow contestants will misjudge him for being weak but as a former surf lifesaver, he’s ready to show them what he’s made of. A true underdog of the series, Baden is hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year’s science genius, Sam and make it to Jury Villa.Contender
