Tracy Dods had been rescuing and rehabilitating kangaroos for more than 12 years until she was charged with aggravated animal cruelty, but the conviction has left other WIRES volunteers fearing the precedent could leave anyone trying to help injured animals vulnerable to a criminal conviction.
