Port Lincoln Airport is the gateway to and from the “Seafood Capital of Australia,” the page reads.
“This is a very unique opportunity to showcase and sell your product in front of 500 passengers per day, on average, that travel through the Airport,” the council wrote.
“It has been recognised this innovation will likely generate revenue for the airport and local seafood sales, while providing a unique local retail experience.”
This would not be the first seafood vending machine in Australia.
Oyster HQ at Coffin Bay, which is only 50 kilometres from Port Lincoln, has Australia’s only Oyster Vending Machine.
The vending machine carries oysters, prawns and mussels and is accessible 24/7.
