A source confirmed the split with People magazine, saying the pair is taking a break.
"They are both young and career-focused, so they've decided to take a break," the source said.
Carpenter, 25, and Keoghan, 32, first sparked dating rumours in late 2023 when they were spotted out to dinner together in Los Angeles.
The pair have since enjoyed a semi-private relationship, only occasionally appearing together publicly, with Keoghan regularly leaving comments on the popstar's social media posts and appearing alongside her in the music video for her single Please Please Please.
The actor also watched the star's Coachella performance in August, when she changed the lyrics to her song Nonsense to reference Keoghan's infamous bathtub scene in the film Saltburn.
Keoghan spoke about their relationship during an interview on the The Louis Theroux Podcast in November.
"All I'm going to say is I'm incredibly blessed," Keoghan said.
