Castro-Arabejo rose to fame on Season 4 of the series RuPaul’s Drag Race and went on to appear in the All Stars edition of Season 6. Her family had posted on April 24 that the performer had had her right leg amputated by surgery after a “severe infection”.
On Thursday, the performer’s family confirmed the tragic news via their social media account.
“Bianca passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at 4:42 am, surrounded by her loving family and close friends,” they wrote in the statement. “A luminous presence in the worlds of entertainment and advocacy, Jiggly Caliente was celebrated for her infectious energy, fierce wit, and unwavering authenticity.
“She touched countless lives through her artistry, activism, and the genuine connection she fostered with fans around the world. A statement shared by RuPaul’s Drag Race said that they were “devastated” by the loss of Castro-Arabejo
“Jiggly’s humour, love, and light touched so many in the Drag Race family and beyond. Her legacy will continue to uplift the communities she advocated for.”
