Sydney FC have made history reaching their first ever AFC Champions League Two semi-final thanks to a comeback for the ages in the quarter final second leg defeating Korean giants Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors 3-2, after being 2-0 down.
The Sky Blues won the tie 5-2 on aggregate thanks to goals from Alex Grant, Patryk Klimala and Douglas Costa tonight and will face Singapore’s Lion City Sailors next month for a place in the Final.
The result books Sydney FC a place in the ACL2 semi-finals where they will play Lion City Sailors for a place in the AFC Champions League 2 Final.
