Will Smith Addresses His Fall Out With Son Jaden Smith In New Interview

In a candid interview, Will Smith opens up about ‘the worst public mauling’ his son Jaden had ever experienced.

Tonight on The Project, speaking to Carrie Bickmore, Will Smith shared why then 15-year-old son Jaden asked to be emancipated following the flop of their film After Earth.

When Bickmore asked if Jaden was just being a dramatic teenager, Smith explained that for Jaden, the things just weren’t connected in his mind, an excerpt from the Hollywood actors new memoir. In a difference of perception, the teenager explained he was going through something completely different.

“There is nothing more painful then when you feel like you hurt your kids” Smith says.

Smith then reflects back on his relationship with his father and childhood trauma, saying how it has helped him become a better actor.

As Bickmore attempts to further dive into details on Will Smiths memoirs and his non-monogamous relationship with Jada, she is awkwardly cut off by Smith’s publicist, leaving Smith joking that ‘that was the questions she was trying to ask the whole time’.
