Sydney Voted World’s Best City

Sydney has been named the world’s best city by the readers of Condé Nast Traveller UK, praised for its “unique, indoor-outdoor way of life”.

The Harbour City scored 92.96 to take out the top spot, followed closely by Valencia, Spain, with a score of 92.78 and Singapore at 92.47.

Sydney was also voted the second most friendly city, described as a place where “outgoing personalities meet laid-back lifestyles to form one of the friendliest communities on the planet.” 

The NSW capital was praised for its gorgeous coastline and beach culture, with surfing and snorkelling at the top of traveller’s to-do lists. 

The rankings are part of the UK publication’s annual Reader’s Choice Awards, which saw thousands of readers vote for their favourite destinations.
