Ninja Warrior Sports To Debut At LA Olympic Games 2028

A Ninja Warrior event will debut at the LA 2028 Olympics, while the equestrian component of the modern pentathlon has been dropped following animal welfare concerns and is being replaced with obstacle racing.

The International Olympic Committee has added a Ninja Warrior-style event to the LA Olympic Games in 2028.

The IOC has also changed the format of the modern pentathlon, which has been part of the Olympics since 1912.

Australia’s Chloe Esposito won gold in the modern pentathlon at the Rio Olympics in 2016.

A German coach was thrown out of the Tokyo Olympics after punching a horse that apparently struggled to bond with the athlete during a 20-minute period before the event.

Unfortunately for breaking fans, breakdancing will not be returning to the Olympics.

Flag football, squad, lacrosse, baseball/softball and T20 cricket will feature in the 2028 Games.

The news comes as Queensland announced its official plans for the Brisbane Olympic Games in 2032.

Despite a pre-election ‘no new stadium’ pledge from now-Premier David Crisafulli, a new 63,000-seat stadium will be built at Victoria Park, while the Gabba will be demolished after the Games for residential development.

A new aquatics centre will also be built at the Centenary Pool in Spring Hill.
