James Blunt Vows To Change His Name If Hated Album Reaches Number 1

There’s no one who makes more fun of the album ‘Back to Bedlam’ than the singer who released it, but James Blunt has made a wild pledge to change his name if it gets to number 1.

The album is approaching its 20th anniversary, and Blunt has boldly declared that if fans get it to number 1, he’ll change his name to one of their choosing.

“I know you’ve heard the rumours, and they are true. I’m re-releasing my debut album, Back To Bedlam, on October 11. Something that has kept me consistently rich for the past 20 years,” he said in a video to social media.

“So as a way to give back to you, my adoring public, if Back To Bedlam re-enters the charts at number one, I will legally change my name. What will I change it to? Well, it’s entirely up to you.”

The lead single from the album, “You’re Beautiful”, was once voted as one of the most annoying songs to be released, and Blunt shared some of the names he’s already been called, including “the Most Hated Man in Pop”, “Annoying” and “James Beige”.

“I’ll let the people decide. But if it doesn’t go to number one, I’m not changing my name,” he said.

“My name is James Blunt, and you have the power to absolutely f**k my life.”
