Hershey's Teddy Bear Toss Breaks World-Record

The 2025 Hershey's Teddy Bear Toss broke a world record after a whopping 102,343 teddies were thrown in the ice-hockey tradition.

The world-famous event, held during today's Hershey Bears v. the Providence Bruins game, sees fans throw stuffed animals onto the ice following Hershey's first goal of the game.

This year smashed last year's 74,499 plush toys donated and set a new hockey world record.

The Hershey Bear's forward Mike Sgarbossa scored the Teddy Bear Toss goal to tie the game against Providence at 1-1, starting the downpour of 102,343 teddies.

As part of the club's Hershey Bears Cares initiative, the stuffed animals collected will now be donated to over 35 local charities.
