Just in time to fuel Aussies through the rest of the footy season, Domino’s is delivering the ultimate halftime hero: for just $3 extra, customers can now add eight mini meat pies to the crust of any pizza.
“This is the kind of pizza dreams are made of,” said Allan Collins, Domino’s ANZ Chief Marketing Officer. “We’ve taken two of Australia’s most iconic game-day staples and fused them into something truly unique.
Aussies have grown up with meat pies at the footy and Domino’s on the couch, so bringing the two together felt like the ultimate game-day power play. We’re stoked to be teaming up with Four’N Twenty to create something cheeky, iconic, and totally delicious.”
The new mashup has already sparked buzz online. Aussie food reviewer and content creator Russ Eats shared his first bite on TikTok, calling it the “perfect combo” for anyone who loves both classics—though he reckons it might hit best after a few drinks.
“Separately, it’s a pie and pizza—so if you want both, it’s the perfect combo for you,” Russ explained. “Together, I feel like it’s working... but I feel like I need to be really p***ed and I’ll absolutely love this.”
His followers were quick to weigh in.
“State of Origin dinner sorted,” one declared.
“Greatest invention since the hamdog,” another chimed in.
And perhaps the highest Aussie praise of all: “This is the most Australian thing I’ve ever seen.”
Still, not everyone’s fully sold—with some suggesting a sausage roll crust might be the next big thing.
