In a now-deleted clip, the bride named Nina Lingstroem from Germany was seen flashing the groomsmen and the bridesmaids.
Nina is captured pulling apart the waist-high slit in her dress to reveal her underwear while posing alongside her husband and 15 groomsmen, with some even leaning over to have a look.
The bride is seen laughing at the camera before putting her dress back into place and continuing with the regular photoshoot.
Another video also shows her doing the same with her five bridesmaids but covering her underwear with a bouquet.
The behaviour was shunned as a “major red flag”, with many labelling it as an “attention-grabbing” and “pick me” move.
A ‘pick me girl’ is a term used to describe a woman who behaves in a way that seeks male validation, usually at the expense of other women.
“That’s a pick me girl … she’ll always be chasing this high to be the main character,” one person wrote.
“Notice how she looked at the groomsmen’s reactions and not her husband’s?” another pointed out.
“Having some decency and self-respect means knowing when to behave appropriately, especially on important occasions like a wedding, where dignity and grace should take precedence over seeking attention,” one social media wrote.
“I would’ve requested the divorce papers that same day,” one person wrote, while another added, “The wedding would’ve been cancelled.”
Some defended the bride’s move.
“I think people are too quick to judge – maybe she was just having fun and in a good mood, and sometimes you do things,” one person wrote.
“The level of hate for something you did at your own wedding is actually absurd,” said another.
“She is foreign! I think different cultures have different quirks and societal norms – her page doesn’t come across as a pick me,” wrote someone else, but a German replied to this comment saying, “It’s not normal.”
Nina had made her account private after the video went viral but has now remerged, writing, “Smile as much as you can on your wedding day, and if you wanna do a flashing, go for it.”
